The “Anawrahta” is the new luxury paddle-wheeled vessel of the cruise specialist Heritage Line, scheduled to commence sailing on the Ayeyarwady River in October of 2015.

The company will be thus honouring Anawrahta, the first King to put a stamp on Burmese history by unifying the country in 1044. He was a mighty warrior, accomplished statesman and introduced Theravada Buddhism throughout the country. In more modern times, during the Colonial Era, the British ferried their personnel and goods the length of the river by paddle-wheelers.

With a capacity of 46 passengers who will be able to enjoy high end accommodations as well as a culinary experience, this luxurious boat will navigate on the Ayeyarwady River and propose a diversified range of packages and itineraries:

  • Bagan-Mandalay: 5D/4N
  • Yangon-Bagan: 8D/7N
  • Bagan-Yangon: 8D/7N
  • Mandalay-Homalin-Bagan: 12D/11N
  • Mandalay-Bhamo-Bagan: 12D/11N

Lux Travel DMC already started to collect booking for this new product and we will be happy to answer all your questions at [email protected]
Please be informed that, advised by the Government of Myanmar, Heritage Line might have to use a working name for the cruise which would be “Shin Arahan”.
