Redefining Luxury Travel
By lux4lux | January 7, 2009
The Luxury Travel Company offers unique, sophisticated and economical travel options to the exotic and mysterious lands of the former Indochina. Luxury Travel helps you explore both destination & culture.
With worries about the world financial situation in the forefront of everyone’s minds, traditional approaches to luxury travel don’t seem in touch with the times. Which is why Luxury Travel’s (http://www.LuxuryTravelVietnam.com) belief that travel experiences are not “one size fits all,” but are instead very personal, with each aspect tailor made to specific tastes and preferences.
With Luxury Travel, the focus is on high quality service, guides and unique destinations that take you far away from the stress of your everyday life. The goal is to find the most charming, distinctive and authentic option in a region for your travel experience.
Golfing, cruises, family travel, romance, wellness and spa, beach vacation, luxury adventures, business travel, gourmet, and cooking class with a local chef, cultural talk by a well-known historian, home-hosted meal with royal families or Buddhist monks, cocktails with contemporary artists, or private dinner, helicopter tour. …are just some of the travel experiences of Luxury Travel Company for making your trip more than just a vacation, but a journey into a different culture and world.
With an emphasis on responsible tourism, your chic adventure will be more than just a glitzy splurge, but rather, a life-changing voyage. Whether that once-in-a-lifetime vacation to a dreamed about destination, family reunion, honeymoon or anniversary, or annual travel, your adventure will be filled with personalized, subtle touches of luxury, where the actual activity is what defines your travel.
“We don’t have a formula that we use to design every trip, but we do have a consistent sensibility that informs everything we do,” says PHAM HA, CEO of LUXURY TRAVEL. “We believe life is to be enjoyed, discovered and experienced, and we take the greatest pleasure in sharing our experiences with you.”
LUXURY TRAVEL’s approach to travel offers the opportunity to slow down and take part in something genuine, meaningful and real. Avoiding what has become a part of modern tourism and package tours, LUXURY TRAVEL instead seeks out experiences that resonate with local life, and are carried out on a more relaxed rhythm.
Focusing on the genuine passion of local characters who bring alive their world, as well as highly trained guides who are enthusiastic about sharing their passion, culture with guests, a program provides an unforgettable journey at www.luxurytravelvietnam.com.
“Each day I woke up knowing that the day would be full of fun and adventure,” a past Luxury Travel’s client, Catherine Dalton said.

“Considering the tough market conditions in the second half of 2008 and many tax changes, this is a very good result,” said Udo Loersch, general director of the company, adding, “We see clearly that the Vietnamese market, especially the luxury segment, still has potential to develop.”

Luxury travel ‘to prove popular this year 2009′
Luxury travel will be one of the sectors to see growth in 2009, according to ITB Berlin, one of the travel industry’s leading trade shows.
The ITB World Travel Trends report predicted that the effects of the global financial crisis will tend to favour niche markets such as luxury travel.
However, bargain hunting and last-minute travel will continue to be prevalent at the same time, according to ITB Berlin.
Dr Martin Buck, director of the Competence Centre Travel and Logistics at Messe Berlin, said: ‘Whether we like it or not – the idea of saving money at all costs is back with us again.’
Based on the assessments of around 60 tourism experts who met at the World Travel Monitor forum in Pisa in November 2008, the report also indicated that short breaks in Europe could be increasingly popular this year.
Dr Buck said: ‘Higher costs and a new kind of insecurity affecting consumers will undoubtedly impact negatively on long-haul travel in 2009.’

Luxury travel sector expected to remain buoyant
A newly-released report indicates that trends in travel and plans for holidays largely follow the divisions between the rich and those who are not.
According to the ITB World Travel Trends Report, the global economic downturn and financial crisis will not impact niche market growth, particularly in the luxury travel sector, again this year.
Another trend that continues to be dominant is the search for deals in last-minute travel. “Whether we like it or not, the idea of saving money at all costs is back with us again,” commented Dr Martin Buck, director of Messe Berlin’s Competence Centre Travel and Logistics.
ITB Berlin commissioned consultants IPK International to produce the report, which indicates that trends are quite difficult to predict for 2009, overall.
The report suggests that the economic conditions, currency fluctuations and the uneasiness of the travelling public combine to mean that reliable forecasts for the year are not possible.
Conclusions in the report are based on the input of approximately 60 tourism experts from 30 countries around the world, who attended the World Travel Monitor Forum held in Pisa, Italy, in November, and on data supplied by the World Travel Monitor.

Luxury travel will defy downturn, says ITB report
A new report suggests that holiday plans and travel trends are increasingly mirroring the social divisions between rich and poor.
According to ITB Berlin, the fallout from the global economic and financial crisis will tend to favour the growth of niche markets, in particular segments such as luxury travel, once again in 2009.
At the same time, bargain hunting and last-minute travel will be dominant. “Whether we like it or not, the idea of saving money at all costs is back with us again,” said Dr. Martin Buck, director of the Competence Centre Travel and Logistics at Messe Berlin.
According to the ITB World Travel Trends Report, commissioned from consultants IPK International by ITB Berlin, as far as travel trends are concerned, 2009 is a very difficult year to forecast.
The effects of the global economic and financial crisis, coupled with uneasiness over prices for raw materials and significant currency fluctuations, mean that no reliable forecasts can
currently be made.
The ITB World Travel Trends Report is based on the assessments of around 60 tourism experts from 30 countries, meeting at the World Travel Monitor Forum in Pisa in November 2008, as well as on core data supplied by the World Travel Monitor, recognised as the largest ongoing survey on global travel trends in some 60 source countries.
Assessments by ITB Berlin indicate that, against the backdrop of the economic and financial crisis, business travel, in particular, together with travel to meetings, conferences and incentive trips, will suffer.
According to Dr. Buck: “Worldwide, international companies have begun to drastically cut their spending on business travel, meetings and incentives. The travel industry is already experiencing the effects of these measures.”
The ITB World Trends Report is available for download at http://www.itb-berlin.com under Media Centre / Publications.
ITB Berlin 2009 takes place from March 11-15. Parallel with the trade fair, the ITB Berlin Convention will be held March 11-14.

The temple’s exterior is decorated with multi-colored dragons of all shapes and sizes competing for space with a number of religious symbols. Above the main entrance is the all-seeing holy eye, the symbol of the Cao Dai sect. The interior is just as engaging as statues of Jesus Christ, Buddha and the Hindu god, Brahma, stand side by side. The trip to Tay Ninh is combined with a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched over 250km. from Saigon to the Cambodian border and was three levels deep. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life during the U.S.-Vietnam War must have been like. I agree with you that the ultimate goal of luxury traveling is to find the most charming, distinctive and authentic option in a region for your travel experience. It is also true that the current economy phase is not going to make serious impact upon luxury travel business. So, please don’t compromise with the best standards.

Luxury Travel introduces gourmet lovers a cooking class of each typical culinary of the three culinary regions.
North: Northern Vietnam has long been influenced by its proximity to China. As the only part of the country that experiences four seasons, many dishes are only available in season. Overall, the food tends to be milder and lighter than that found in the rest of Vietnam.
Central: The pundits claim that central cuisine is the most culturally authentic food in the country. Heavily influenced by the Imperial court cuisine of Hue, the food is generally spicy and well seasoned.
South: Southern cuisine is the most varied of the three. Rich in vegetables, rice and seafood, it has incorporated French, Cambodian and Thai influences into a style that is distinctively its own. It is more heavily seasoned and tropical, spicier and at times sweeter than northern food.
