Restaurants:

The 'Tropical Island Style' house, over-viewing the beach and the garden is the heart of the resort. Various ranges of drinks, entertained with live music every night makes this place not to be missed.

As the name goes, Beach Grill serves a variety of barbeques, ranging from seafood to imported lamb, beef.

Vietnamese food is one of the state-of-the-art cultures that combine the French and Chinese techniques.

Spa: There is a wide variety of spa products that are designed to meet your health and skin care needs, from aromatic massage, natural herb scrubs, hot stone massage to facial massage.

How to get there?

By air: Vietnam Airlines ATR72 aircraft fly daily from Ho Chi Minh City and from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc and back.

By Sea : Public boats ply between Rach Gia and An Thoi in the south (7 hours, daily), between Ha Tien and Bai Thom in the north (4 hours, once every other day), between Ha Tien and Ham Ninh (4 hours, once every other day), high speed ship (2 hours, daily)

"We spent 3 nights at La Veranda after a fairly hectic time in HCMC and through the Mekong delta. The contrast was amazing, with the resort being a peaceful oasis....we could sleep without airplugs.

It is affordable luxury. Drinking at the resort was up there pricewise and we preferred to walk along the beach to other bars and restaurants and have our dinners there. The breakfasts were part of the deal and very nice.

After visiting some of the other accomodation options we would reccomend that people spend a bit extra nd stay at la Varanda.......

it is definitely the nicest place on the island. Also you must hire a motorbike from the security at the gate. 200,000 dong for the day including petrol (about 13USD) great fun tripping around we you fabcy on the dirt roads.

We also went snorkling which was fun .......... much cheaper to organise this yourself rather than through the hotel. We paid $37 each USD for a whole day with pick up and lunch included"
