The hotels we stayed in were luxurious and we always had the best rooms. When possible, our guide made sure our rooms were the best the hotel had to offer. The vehicles were comfortable and well maintained. The drivers were very good and safe. Our daily schedule was flexible and the guides were there on time and would take us where ever we wanted to go.
I would recommend Trader's hotel and Mt Popo as my two favorite. Our room at INLE lake was the best although there was a large tour there at the same time so very noisy.
We enjoyed our guide Myo Aung Htet. He spoke English well and had a good sense of humor. I think he is a very good guide for Americans!
